He is the founder, CEO and CTO of Space X; a co-founder, Series A investor, CEO, and product architect of Telsa Inc.; co-chairman of Open AI; and founder and CEO of Nerulalink. Musk is also a co-founder and former chairman of Solarcity, co-founder of Zip2, and founder of X.com, which merged with Confinity and took the name PayPal.

Founded in the year 1999,the giant startup organisation called X.com.Which is focused on financial services and email payments.A  Year into their operations they merged with Confinity and adopted their best selling product PayPal.In 2014, eBay announced plans to spin-off PayPal into an independent company by mid-2015 and this was completed on July 18, 2015.On July 1, 2015, PayPal announced that it was acquiring digital money transfer company Xoom Corporation. PayPal spent $25 a share in cash to acquire the publicly traded Xoom, or about $1.09 billion. The deal was closed in the fourth quarter of 2015. The move strengthened PayPal’s international business, giving it access to Xoom’s 1.3 million active U.S. customers that sent about $7 billion in the 12 months ending on March 31, to people in 37 countries.

The transportation system, which was introduced in 2013 aims to reduce the travel time from hours to minutes. It will be 4 times faster than a commercial flight.On August 12, 2013, Musk unveiled a concept for a high-speed transportation system incorporating reduced-pressure tubes in which pressurized capsules ride on an air cushion driven by liner induction motors and air compressor.

In 1992 Elon Musk and his brother started Zip2 ,a web software company.The company developed and marketed a internet city guide for the  News paper industries with the contract of Chicago Tribuen and The New york Times.While at Zip2, Musk wanted to become CEO; however, none of the board members would allow it.Compac acquired Zip2 for US$307 million in cash and US$34 million in Stock options in February 1999. Musk received US$22 million for his 7% share from the sale.
